About Us
2026 we will celebrate the 20th year of the Central Alberta Children’s Festival! This Festival continually strives to provide new and unique opportunities for the Children of Central Alberta to learn, play and be active. Local and national talent entertaining at the festival show a wide array of different skills, from singing, dancing and even a little magic!
RETURNING!
BOX CITY!
Box City is back! A longtime festival favourite, this hands-on activity invites kids to build, create, and explore using cardboard boxes, perfect for bringing big ideas to life.
Children can design their own forts, cities, and creations using a variety of boxes and paint, letting their imaginations run wild. Whether they’re constructing towering buildings, cozy hideouts, or something totally unique, there’s no limit to what they can create.
FRIDAY NIGHT BBQ & FAMILY DANCE!
Join us Friday evening, open until 7 PM!
Enjoy a live performance by the Red Deer Royals at 5:30 PM, followed by the Hunting Hills Rock Band taking the stage right after. Stick around for great music, good vibes, and community fun!
Our BBQ will be fired up with hot dogs, chips, and water, all included with your gate admission. We can’t wait to see you there!
PANCAKE SATURDAY!
Start your Saturday morning off right with a delicious pancake breakfast!
Ricky’s Family Restaurant will be on-site flipping fresh, fluffy flapjacks for everyone to enjoy. Bring your appetite and gather with family and friends for a warm and welcoming start to your day at the festival. Breakfast is available until 11 AM and is included with your gate admission, so come early, grab a plate, and enjoy!

Support & Volunteer
The Central Alberta Children’s Festival collaborates with like-minded companies to celebrate creativity, education and family. The support of our Sponsors helps the Festival to provide an educational experience that improves children’s critical thinking skills.
Volunteers are essential to the overall success of the festival. Safety and security are paramount so volunteers are expected to show up on time and prepared to do their assigned tasks. Volunteers may have to pass a police security check depending on their duties.
